The picturesque and historic village of Aberdour, known as the Jewel of Fife, is located on the south coast of Fife. Although Aberdour is a small village it has much to offer, the village has quaint narrow streets, historic buildings, hotels, b&b’s, restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops, a golf course a bowling green and two award winning beaches. The name Aberdour means ‘River Mouth of the Dour.’ The Dour Burn (river Dour) formed the scenic natural harbour. Looking south over the Firth of Forth you can see Island of Inchcolm, and Edinburgh.
