Tarbert’s harbour on Loch Fyne, Argyll, is synonymous with a warm welcome and safe mooring for mariners. The Royal Castle is testament to Tar-bert’s historically strategic location; covered in ivy and now in ruins, it was built to stand guard over the area by Robert The Bruce in 1326.
