Zennor is a small enchanting village on the wild north coast of Cornwall, there was once a quarry and the local granite was used to build many buildings around. The large stone by the road leading into the village is said to have been used by John Wesley for preaching. The Norman church of St Senara has two Medieval benches with carvings of the mermaid who bewitched a villager. No visit is complete without stepping back into the past at the Wayside Museum where 5,000 items housed in 16 display areas with impressive waterwheels from the Cornish mining industry, an old Cobblers shop and even a Blacksmiths Forge, topped off with a children’s museum and delightful tea garden.
