Woodford Green, a leafy suburban area of north-east London, belongs to the larger settlement of Woodford, located on the edge of Epping Forest at the borders with Essex. This is a highly sought-after commuter district edging into the green belt, with hundreds of acres of woodland, open spaces and parks. Woodford Green upholds a delightful sense of tradition: much of it is a Conservation Area, and there are regular cricket matches on the green.
