Wheddon Cross effectively forms one larger village along with Cutcombe, which is technically a separate village. It is situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park, about nine miles from both the coastal resort of Minehead and the town of Dulverton. The charming and popular villages of Dunster and Exford are close by. Wheddon Cross is the highest village in Exmoor National Park, at 980 feet above sea level. It lies about three miles South East of Dunkery Beacon, itself the highest point in Exmoor.
