Westerham is a very attractive small town with a wealth of trees and gardens, medieval and Georgian buildings, richly historic houses and lovely outlying countryside that's included in many recommended walking and cycle routes. The village green, surrounded by some memorable old houses and shops, is noteworthy for statues of Sir Winston Churchill and General James Wolfe, both having local connections. The 17th Century, gabled Quebec House was Wolfe's childhood home, now filled with significant exhibits and open to the public.
