Warwick is a delightful town steeped in history and well worth exploring. It is perhaps best known for its magnificent castle, Britain’s Greatest Mediaeval Experience. A visit to Warwick Castle is a great day out for all the family.
Warwick has many other buildings of historic interest. Although the town was ravaged by the Great Fire in 1694, some important mediaeval buildings survived. The Lord Leycester Hospital is housed in a delightful group of timber-framed buildings dating from the late 14th century.
