Thame is a market town in the county of Oxfordshire, close to the Chiltern Hills. Notable historic buildings include The Birdcage public house and the Saracen’s Head in the Buttermarket, plus the Greyhound Inn and the 13th Century Church of St Mary's. Near the church is the Bandstand which came from the Wembley exhibition in 1921. The market place has a boat-shaped appearance, and a market has been held there every Tuesday since 1230. The town has varied shopping facilities, along with ample restaurants and pubs and Thame Leisure Centre.
