Tarporley is to be found in the North West on the fertile Cheshire Plains, a predominantly rural area renowned for its dairy cattle and lush green meadows which give rise to some of the finest local produce in England. Some of the best views of Tarporley are to be found from nearby Beeston Castle, set high on the Mid Cheshire Ridge this viewpoint offers some great views of the surrounding countryside as well. Tarporley received a Royal Charter in 1292 and by 1297 was recorded as being a borough with a mayor and a market.
