Tamworth is home to two important features from very different ends of the history spectrum. Tamworth Castle was originally a Norman motte and bailey castle which was originally added to in subsequent centuries. Today it still stands proud overlooking the town centre and the confluence of the Rivers Tame and Anker. The castle has enjoyed entertaining royalty throughout its history and today visitors are treated to a snapshot of history with interactive activities, in particular â€œThe Tamworth Storyâ€.
