It has an intriguing history which dates back to Saxon times, there was a Monastery in the 11th Century, the tower of which remains at the impressive 15th Century church which has amazing stained glass windows dating back to Medieval times, and is where a branch is placed in the tower every Oak Apple Day to commemorate Charles II, who hid in a nearby Oak Tree after the Battle of Worcester.
