St Mawgan is a pretty coastal village perfectly placed in the Lanherne Valley in North Cornwall, home to over eleven hundred people. The River Menalhyl flows through the village where delightful cottages, and 13th Century church with its fabulous tower and eight bells can be found. The village has an interesting history, part of which may be seen when walking through the Lychgate of the church where the ancient Holy Well still exists. Two bridges, two pubs, shops and a 13th Century Manor House combine to make up the village where the filming took place of Agatha Christie's televised programme of Miss Marple.
