The village of North Curry lies about five miles east of Taunton, with easy access to the M5 motorway. It is a fairly large village with a population of approximately 1,625 people. Despite this, and its proximity to the M5 motorway, the village is actually tucked away quite discretely on the south-western side of the Somerset Levels. It is found amongst winding country lanes and has buildings, history and a village life that make it a fine example of the English rural village. The history of human activity in the area goes back over 6,000 years.
