The old market town of Mold is to be found in North East Wales in the County of Flintshire and is able to boast a powerful history. At the top of the town is Bailey Hill, a reminder of the Normans who once visited the town, and which today rewards the visitor with some great views of the town. Mold is the English name for this market town whilst the Welsh name is “Yr Wyddgrug†which means “heap, tomb or memorial†and it is believed that this is a direct reference to Bailey Hill.
