Marsden is a small village set within the Pennine Moors in the western reaches of Yorkshire, home to nearly three and a half thousand people. The village has a fascinating history which started with Bronze Age settlers, followed by the Romans, and later the mill workers, all of which have played a part in Marsden's history. The impressive buildings hail from its mill working heritage when several mills sprang up around the village as the woollen industry thrived, remnants of other chapters of history can also be seen with the village stocks dating back to the Middle Ages, and the ancient Pack Horse bridge and church.
