Loughborough is a busy town in Leicestershire, with a Market held twice a week since the 13th Century. The town is the centre for bell making, and a tour around the Bell Foundry Museum, where exhibits tell the story, see the foundry that cast the bell hanging in St Paulâ€™s Cathedral in London. The attractive Grand Union Canal courses through the town, and whether you walk the tow paths or sail on one of the Narrow Boats keeping company with swans and ducks itâ€˜s idyllic, time it right and the annual Loughborough Festival will be on.
