Nearby Ben Vorlich is a 985m peak with steep sides offering panoramic views of the surrounding area and beautiful loch it is visited regularly by climbers. Lochearnhead is an ancient village and tourist resort with scenic surroundings and interesting historical structures including a crannog on the Loch, indicating a settlement in the area for at least 2000 years.
