Llanelli sits on the Bury estuary some 13 miles west of Swansea and 12 miles east of Carmarthen. It’s linked to the M4 Motorway by the A4138 and, though Llanelli is the largest town in Carmarthenshire and has hosted the National Eisteddfod five times, it is perhaps best known as home to the Llanelli Scarlets Rugby team at Stradey Park. Surrounded by small villages, this area has many rural attractions: The Millenium Coastal Park extends to Burry Port and the 13 mile long coastal path links Lougher to Pembrey.
