The village of Leintwardine can trace its roots back to Roman times, all around the site of the present town there is evidence of Roman forts indicating the commanding position that Leintwardine held in its location in the Teme Valley. The village of Leintwardine is situated on the Shropshire / Herefordshire border in the Welsh Marches just off the A4113 between Ludlow and Knighton amongst the rolling hills for which the area is famous. It is an area of outstanding beauty, steeped in history with the ruins of many castles in the area.
