Leighton Buzzard is a traditional Market Town on the edge of the Chiltern Hills. This historical town with itâ€™s network of streets leading onto the Market Square where a 15th Century Market Cross stands, or visit Church Square where the 13th Century church of All Saints with itâ€™s 190â€™ spire, step inside and if the arches donâ€™t impress look up and the 15th Century roof carvings of angels and saints will. The countryside is best enjoyed travelling on one of the steam engines, or perhaps a cruise on the Grand Union Canal is more for you, for painters stock up on paint as the myriad of coloured narrow and long boats that glide past will test the most experienced artist, If brass bands please take a trip to Parsons Close Ground where bands play on the attractive Band Stand, or perhaps the Theatre where music, drama and opera are enjoyed.
