Kingsdown is a village immediately to the south of Walmer, itself south of Deal, on the English Channel coast of Kent. There is a butcherâ€™s shop, a hairdressers, a newsagents and a post office on the main Upper Street. The 18 hole, cliff top, Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club is on The Leas. Kingsdown Woods is a small, once coppiced, wood maintained by the National Trust. Kingsdown is located at the northern end of the White cliffs of Dover. The village itself sits below the cliff, with a holiday camp on top, midway up.
