Keith is a town in Moray divided by the River Isla in Aberdeenshire, in the north-east of Scotland situated at the start of the â€˜Malt Whiskey Trailâ€™. Keith is well-known as the home of the Keith Kilt School, the only school in the world still teaching the art of kilt-making. â€˜Old Keithâ€™ lies on the west of the river and dates back to 1180 when it was used as a cattle-trade centre. â€˜New Keithâ€™ was planned and laid out in1755 and is the larger settlement.
