Hurley is a picturesque village on the banks of the River Thames, set between Henley-On-Thames and Maidenhead, the remains of a Benedictine Monastery is still visible, together with St Maryâ€™s Church, predominantly Norman with later additions turns back the clock, the west doorway with itâ€™s stunning Norman Arch and zig zag moulding beckons many artists. â€™Ye Olde Bellâ€™ acted as a hostelry for visitors to the Monastery in 1135. Hurley Lock is full of history and wildlife, surrounded by woodland and home to Kingfishers, Herons, and Woodpeckers.
