Between Buckston and Sheffield in Derbyshire lies the gritstone hill village of Hathersage, an extremely popular tourist location for many varied reasons. 5 mills once belched smoke over the surrounding countryside, the area being famous for the manufacturing of needles, buttons and pins among other things. Legend has it that Robin Hoodâ€™s comrade, Little John, hailed from Hathersage and it is believed that his final resting place was in a 10 foot long grave in the churchyard of St. Michaelâ€™s.
