Grindleford is a limestone village in North Derbyshire. Access is gained by railway, the Totley Tunnel reaching 3 and a half miles in length from Totley in Sheffield beneath Totley Moor to Grindleford. One of the old station buildings is now a very popular cafÃ©. Visitors and experts alike can marvel at the strange rock formations on display at Rainster Rocks and Hipley Hill, or explore the abundance of fauna existing there. The village church of St James is a Norman church with some Saxon remains still visible today.
