Evershot is a small picturesque village situated in west Dorset, midway between Beaminster and Cerne Abbas. It lies about six miles north of the county town of Dorchester. It encapsulates all the charm and beauty of a quintessential English village, with its narrow winding roads and delightful thatched cottages. Most of the buildings date from between the 17th and 19th centuries. Visitors can stay at the Summer Lodge country house hotel, a fine Georgian listed building. Adjoining the hotel is a 9000 acre deer park providing beautiful walks, with an abundance of wildlife and flowers on show throughout the year.
