Dervaig is an ancient village on Mull, an island in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Argyll, in the Argyll and Bute region of Scotland, Dervaig is situated to the north of the island, 7 miles west-south-west of Tobermory at the head of Loch Cuan. The name Dervaig translated from old Norse meaning ‘good inlet’ and would indicate Vikings may have settled here although there is evidence of even earlier settlers with a number of standing stones and remains of an ancient fort close to the village.
