Some Cranborne Cottages

Set in the heart of the beautiful English county of Dorset, picturesque Cranborne lies in the centre of Cranborne Chase. It is at the eastern end of the county not far from Verwood. The Royal Forest of Cranborne was claimed by William the Conqueror in the 11th century and covers around 100 square miles. Back in that time it would have been much more heavily wooded. Cranborne Chase now consists mainly of heath and rough pasture with occasional patches of woodland. There are many fine local walks encompassing several small villages.
