The first pineapple to be grown in England was grown in the village and presented to Charles 11. The church of ’St John the Baptist’ built in 1844 has jewel coloured stained glass windows that are sure to dazzle. A few miles away is the ‘Henley Regatta Course’ this traditional race began in 1839, or maybe Ascot Races is more for you, started by Queen Anne back in 1711 makes for an exciting day out, whether you back the winner or not.
