Callington is a small town surrounded by woodland and streams in the county of Cornwall, home to five thousand people, and dates back to Saxon times. There is an interesting Trail and Museum that tells a fascinating story. The Medieval church of St Mary has many treasures to share, and a walk down the lane opposite will uncover the Pannier Market. Close by is Dupath Holy Well which is enclosed by a 16th Century granite stone chapel. For lovers of the great outdoors a walk up Kit Hill which rises a thousand feet is a perfect place for a pic nic with a view.
