Some Barrow Upon Humber Cottages

Barrow Upon Humber is an attractive rural village nestling in the county of Lincolnshire, and it is home to over two and a half thousand people. It's fascinating history is plain to see with the warm red brick built houses and cottages from the 18th, and 19th Century lining the roads, and around the ancient Market Place which saw wrong doers placed in the Stocks during Medieval times. The village grew from a small agricultural settlement when the Anglo Saxons founded a Monastery here in the 7th Century which was to be destroyed by Danish invaders a couple of hundred years later.
