Adderbury, or Eadburg, as it was recorded in the Domesday Book is situated three miles south of Banbury and twenty miles north of Oxford. With a history that can be traced back over 1,000 years, Adderbury is formed in clusters of honey coloured, Horton stone cottages. There is a village store with good butcher, four pubs and a french restaurant all adding to the strong community spirit which is present in Adderbury. St Mary’s Church with its impressive steeple is nearly 800 years old and covered in gargoyles.
