Abington is a tale of two villages Great Abington and Little Abington, positioned on the opposite banks of the River Granta in the historic county of Cambridgeshire, and is home to just over a thousand people. Both with a rich history that dates as far back in time as the Bronze Age when they settled here, Saxons farmed here, and an ancient route which journeys from Colchester to Cambridge was built close by. The village was divided into two just after the Norman Invasion when both were allotted to different families.
