An attractive town steeped in history you can take a "time walk" from Anglo Saxon times up to the present.
At Sutton just outside Woodbridge is the famous Saxon Hoo Burial site, which is now in the hands of the National Trust. It has an education centre, exhibition hall, restaurant and shop. You can visit the burial site and then return to the exhibition to see some of the artefacts found at the site.
There is a unique Tide Mill, which has been restored, with a model showing how the millpond was used to turn the wheels, which are, at certain times of the tide still turning.
