Winslow is a small North Buckinghamshire market town in the Vale of Aylesbury, near Buckingham itself. It has a population of about 6,000 but the recent expansion hasn’t lost any of its characterful charm, mostly from the Georgian era. The most magnificent building here is believed to have been designed by Sir Christopher Wren in the early 18th century – Winslow Hall. The grand house was a family home, boarding school, used by the RAF in WWII but most recently viewed for private purchase by the former British PM Tony Blair! Annually there is The Winslow Show on late August Bank Holiday Monday.
