Widecombe-in-the-Moor is a small Devonshire village set within the dramatic and moody landscape of Dartmoor, home to over five hundred and sixty people. The church of St Pancras dates back to the 14th Century, and has a magnificent 120’ tower, which is only one of the interesting features of this ‘Cathedral of the Moor’. Time it right and the Widecombe Fair will be taking place, or possibly the splendour of the Moor will bewitch those who set off on a journey of discovery of ancient Moorland, and wildlife, why not explore the remains of the Medieval Village of Hound Tor, or perhaps the Bronze Age Settlement of Grimspound will satisfy the curious.
