Tisbury is a small attractive town positioned on the banks of the Nadder River in the county of Wiltshire, and it is home to just over two thousand people. It dates as far back as the Bronze Age Settlers who first came here, the quarrying of chalk and stone, together with the wool industry have all played their part with the growth of the town. Its interesting history is still all around, from the impressive architecture of the Norman church dedicated to St John the Baptist where an ancient tree stands in the churchyard said to be four thousand years old, to the charming mellow Tisbury stone thatched houses and cottages which line the narrow lanes and roads, especially in Hindon Lane where a glance skywards reveals a secret.
