St Fillans is situated 6km from Comrie on the east shore of Loch Earn, in the central Highlands, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. St Fillans is a small traditional Scottish village with interesting ancient history and picturesque surroundings making it an ideal loch-side resort. Loch Earn is glacial basin, flowing east to the River Earn, through Strathearn to the River Tay. Ben Vorlich stands 985m high and is popular with climbers. St Fillan has an underground Hydro-electric power station. The settlement was previously known as Meikleport or Port of Lochearn, re-named by the Drummond family in 1817.
