Known as the historic capital of Mercia the historic village of Repton dates back to Anglo Saxon Times and is to be found in the Trent Valley between Derby and Burton on Trent. For those who appreciate architecture and those who want to have a glimpse through history then Repton is certainly a place that should be on your “must see†list. One of the most important and unique pieces of Saxon architecture still exists today in St Wystans Church, the crypt where many Saxon Kings were buried.
