The tiny picturesque village of North Bovey in Devon sits on a hillside overlooking the river Bovey from where it takes its name. The river can be accessed via a path running down from the village church of John the Baptist. 18th Century traditional thatched cottages surround a village green on which stands a stone cross and pump. Beyond the village itself lies the rugged and beautiful expanse of the Dartmoor National Park. Within 30 miles is the lovely South Devon coast. At the hub of village life is the Ring of Bells, a traditional village inn dating back to the 13th Century.
