Nairn is an ancient fishing town in the Highlands of Scotland, situated on the River Nairn on the south shore of the Moray Firth, 16 miles north-east of Inverness. Archaeological ‘Clava Cairns’ on the south side of Culloden Moor indicate the area has been inhabited since the early Bronze Age. Nairn is a traditional sea-side town and popular holiday resort, famous for its championship Golf links and beautiful award winning beaches with the sea-front stretching to the RSPB Reserve and Culbin Forest in the east.
