Murrayfield is an area in the west-end of Edinburgh in Scotland situated 2 miles west of the busy city centre and just to the east of Corstorphine. Murrayfield is well-known as the location of many sporting facilities including the famous Murrayfield Stadium which opened in 1925 and is the largest sporting stadium in Scotland; it is home to the Scottish National Rugby Union team. The stadium offers hospitality packages and tours. Adjacent to the stadium is the Murrayfield Ice Rink home to ice hockey and curling teams and a little further along the road is Edinburgh Zoo with many species of animals and birds making it one of the top attractions for a family day out.
