Lea Marston is a village in North Warwickshire which has history dating back to Saxon times and was owned by a local family in the 17th and 18th centuries. The Adderley family acquired the village through marriage and they built Hams Hall, demolished and was rebuilt in Cirencester. Later Hams Hall gave its name to the power station that was built here in the 1920’s growing through its history and at one time was the largest power generation station in Europe. The power station was however decommissioned and demolished in the 1990’s and the land has since been developed as a manufacturing and distribution centre covering some 430 acres, known today as the Hams Hall National Distribution Park.
