Gwbert-on-Sea lies approximately two miles north of Cardigan on the B4548. Some say it has now become a suburb of Cardigan itself, but visitors are often inspired to hike along the cliffs and enjoy panoramic views over the Teifi estuary. This is definitely a place for watersports enthusiasts who want to be away from the more crowded areas: Kitesurfers and sandbuggy owners love the beach and it is possible to windsurf here during hightides. There is a sailing club located at the mouth of the estuary but if you are boating don’t be tempted to visit Cardigan Island.
