The little settlement of Grizebeck sits between two very distinct areas of Cumbria. Just to the north (the village sits on the boundary) is the National Park, with its lakes and mountains surely known to all. To the south is the less celebrated but well-worth exploring Furness peninsula with sights like Dalton Castle and Furness Abbey. Grizebeck is one of the out of the way places that Cumbria is rich in, set in pretty countryside with traditional cottage accommodation aplenty available to those wanting to spend some quiet time away from it all, or using it as a base for nearby Windermere and Coniston Water.
