Glenluce is an ancient rural village set in a pretty valley in Dumfries and Galloway, in the South West reaches of Scotland, and is home to just over eight hundred people. It dates far back in history as the many cairns and hut circles in the area testify. It wasn't until the 12th Century however, that Glenluce came into being, after the Cistercian Monks built an Abbey here, which saw Mary Queen Of Scots, Robert The Bruce and James 1V visit here, the impressive ruins of the Chapter House, and Cloisters can still be seen today.
