Dedham is an enchanting and unspoilt village set on the banks of the Stour River in the very heart of the Dedham Vale in Essex. It dates back to Saxon times with quiet lanes peppered with beautiful cottages and houses that span five centuries. Stunning countryside cloaks the village that nudges the Essex and Suffolk borders that was forever immortalised by John Constable who attended the local school, and whose father worked the Water Mill close by. Famed for it's production of wool in the 15th Century, the legacy of which may be seen today with the church of St Mary's, where intricate carvings, are embellished in the roof of the Nave.
