Damerham is a village close to the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire in the County of Hampshire that straddles the Allen River. It is a village that is mentioned both in the Domesday Book and the Anglo Saxon Chronicles, it has been a settlement since Saxon Times and is said to have been home to Aethelflaed, wife of King Edmund I who reigned around in the year 950.
