Clevedon is situated along the coastline of the Bristol Channel. The town's origins can be traced back at least to Saxon times, although some findings suggest Celtic settlement. Once a popular Victorian seaside resort it boasts many examples of architecture from that era. Clevedon Pier is the only fully intact, Grade 1 listed pier in the United Kingdom. It was originally constructed in 1867 using surplus material from Brunel's South Wales Railway. It has been beautifully restored and offers a venue for lovely day out by the seaside.
