Carrbridge is a village in the Badenoch and Strathspey area in the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland, situated 10km north of Aviemore, surrounded by spectacular mountains and heather-covered moor-land. Carrbridge was the first of the Scottish ski villages with the Slochd Pass summit reaching 1332ft and offering instruction in Alpine and Nordic skiing. The village is named after its famous landmark the ‘Old Bridge’ built c1707; the curved single span packhorse bridge is the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands.
